Object Dating

Object Dating
The basis for this project stemmed from a set brief to look at the role of the prehistoric hand axe. There is speculation that the hand axe was not in fact used as a cutting tool, but for sexual selection — built to attract potential mates and used during courtship.
Using this as a starting point, the project explores what objects we might now use to find a date. The website allows users to upload five images of objects that represent them. Once they have uploaded their objects and provided a few details about their age and gender, they can browse other people’s object profiles and request a date.
